Kabambannuagan Book Launch


Kabambannuagan, a bilingual anthology of young writers of Ilokano descent, all of them tracing their roots from Kalihi, a district in Honolulu, Hawaii, will be launched at the Campus Center, University of Hawaii at Manoa, Honolulu, Hawaii, on October 29, 2010, from 6 PM to 9 PM. The meditations of these young writers are a result of a series of creative writing workshops put together by Nakem Youth and directed and facilitated by Aurelio Solver Agcaoili of the UH Ilokano Program.

Kabambannuagan, originally written in English, edited by Aurelio Agcaoili and Jeffrey Tangonan Acido, and translated into Ilokano by Agcaoili, gathers the work of Lourdes Acido, Sharon Agamao, Rachelle Aurellano, Calvin C. Rilveria,  Kristine Garabiles, Cindy dela Vega, Janelle Funtanilla, Kathryn Parado, Brenna dela Rosa, Jaclyn Galinato, Izaiah Pascual, Walter Luares, Charissa Fabia, and Glenda Duldulao.
